Adgel Pigments are used for coloring Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP). The pigments manufactured are of superior quality, formulated in an unsaturated polyester resin. The base resin used for the pigments is manufactured in-house.

Our Pigments are compatible with most of the resins available commercially in the market today. They exhibit high gloss and excellent dispersion properties giving excellent coverage in the moulded product.

RANGE OF COLOURS

A wide range of colors are manufactured as per our standard colour chart. In addition, pigment colours can be matched to BS, IS and RAL shades other than special shades as per customer's requirements.

USAGE LEVELS

The following is a recommended usage level of Adgel Pigments with commercial grades of resins. The percentage loading listed below is to be calculated on the weight of the molding resin :

• 8-12 % For Gel Coats
• 4-6% For Laminates
• 8-10% For SMC/DMC Mouldings and Pultrusions
• 1-4% For Translucent Sheets
• 4-6% For Filled Castings

Insufficient pigments may lead to non- uniformity of colour and other surface defects. Higher pigmentation levels will provide better colour uniformity, colour depth,  brightness and longer durability.
